So right, Kate. We let our world shrink for a long time, but it doesn't do our kids (or the world) any good to hide away, even if it gets messy and meltdowns inevitably happen. Good for you for recognizing and handling it with grace...
Thank you Julie. Yeah, we tend to shrink our bubble too, and it takes a special event or relationship to push beyond. I love your point, that it doesn’t do the world any good when we hide away. More exposure is necessary for all of us to grow and create a more inclusive world. I’ll be bringing snacks though. 😉
