It is astonishing and horrifying that someone who is charged with teaching science would believe this rubbish, let alone, promote it to children as fact. I'm so sorry that your son had this experience.

Yes, it is horrifying. Thanks for validating that. I hope he will leave middle school with as few scars as possible. I wish I could be the perfect advocate for him, but even if I could he doesn't even want me intervening anymore.
