Want Less Ignoring and More Connection? Join From Conflict to Cooperation!
I know how it feels to be frustrated and isolated, and I want to support parents of neurodivergent kids to feel more hopeful and relaxed.
The group coaching series with me and Amy Weber LCSW starts on Friday March 17, and you’re invited!
If your kid doesn't respond unless you're yelling, and you've tried punishments and consequences but nothing seems to change, please join me and Amy Weber LCSW for a small group coaching program just for parents raising neurodivergent kids.
It's Called From Conflict to Cooperation
When you join and do the work, you’ll create less yelling and more connection in your neurodiverse family. Maybe not every time, but more often.
OUR PARENT COACHING PROGRAM IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PARENTING SOLUTIONS YOU'VE TRIED:
You tried treating your kid the way you were raised, and that flopped.
You tried behavior modification, and there were short-term results, but it felt icky. And over time, your relationship with your child tanked.
Mainstream mindful parenting advice didn’t help either - in fact it made you feel judged, misunderstood, and left out.
You know you have to keep trying. You can’t give up on your kid, but you feel defeated. We're here for you.
IF YOU'RE TIRED OF BAD PARENTING ADVICE, AND READY TO CONNECT WITH YOUR UNIQUE KID, OUR COACHING COURSE IS FOR YOU.
I coach parents because I know how hard it can be when you feel isolated, frustrated, and freaked out.
I'm not pouring my heart into supporting parents of neurodivergent kids because I think it's easy! I know this parenting path can be hard from experience. I've failed more than I've succeeded.
But there's no option of giving up, right? Not that we would want to… usually!
I've struggled to become a better parent. It's a beautiful struggle. My intention is not to be right, but to be present, and to keep getting closer to the parent Ocean needs me to be. It's a challenge I'm equipped for because I've got a lot of support, strategies, and community. I've made many mistakes, and learned something each time. Mistakes are welcome and expected, because they are how we grow.
Here’s something you might not have considered about your nervous system and how it impacts your parenting:
Our anxious brains are programmed to stick like velcro to the tough parts of parenting, but there are so many exquisite moments with our kids. Laughter, surprise, tenderness, creativity, growth, and love beyond imagination. But the way our brains are programmed, those experiences tend to slide off like teflon, while the painful ones are much more sticky. That’s by design. It is how we stay safe, learn, and evolve.
Once we have that knowledge, we can work with our brains through group coaching. We will draw on the courage of our community and show up fully for this beautiful struggle. Connect with other parents going through similar challenges. Support and be supported by a community of peers learning together.
There's still room in the group, so please share with other parents who would benefit from less yelling and more connection! Thank you in advance!
We're a non-judgmental, neurodiversity-affirming, and anti-ableist group.
What if there really was less yelling?
What if your kids grow up believing that they are important and understood?
How would it feel if your kid was comfortable coming to you with questions and concerns?
What if your child actually wanted to listen to you, because they understood your point of view?
What would it feel like to have more peaceful communication with your child?
Finally, the support and strategies you need to relate respectfully to your neurodivergent kid!
"This gives me so much hope."

Me too! There's a lot to be enthusiastic about when we learn new strategies and connect with other parents going through similar challenges. If you want support with implementation, accountability and a community of peers to learn alongside, why we’re offering a group coaching series and it starts Friday! There's still room in the group.
So if you wish for less yelling and more connection in your family, please join Amy and I. Sign up by Thursday.
We do not know when we will be running this parent coaching program again.
We will practice mindful self-regulation strategies for parents. When you apply the communication tools and relationship-based skills we will cover in the series, everyone will feel heard and respected. You and your child will experience an increase in trust with each other. You'll have more peaceful communication with your child. Maybe not all the time, but more often.
There will be less yelling, and also less guilt when you do yell!
I hope you'll sign up because I'd love to share this work with you - struggles, joys, and all! I know how it feels to be frustrated and isolated, and I want to support parents of neurodivergent kids to feel more hopeful and relaxed.
What happens when you invest your time and money in parent coaching?
Parent coaching will pay more dividends for your kids than many of the therapeutic programs you enroll them in.
In this course, you'll get our time and attention on your family's specific challenges. It is our job to help you feel confident enough to do something new and different in your parenting. We will work together over 3 months so that you start to make meaningful changes. The program is 3 months long to give you ongoing support while you learn and practice, but it is not a big time commitment. Just 6 live lunchtime sessions.
Once you invest, you are more likely to stay committed to the process and show up to the calls. When you are willing to try, over and over again, and to bring your results to the group for support and troubleshooting, that is how you will make big shifts. We're here for all of it!

Module 1: Empathy & Co-Regulation
Mindfulness will help you stay anchored during the stormiest of storms. As you develop self-empathy, your kids will benefit from your emotional regulation.
Module 2: Respectful Communication
To get your kid to listen, you'll get curious about what your child is saying with their behavior. You and your child will experience an increase in trust with each other.
Module 3: Collaboration & Celebration
Work with your child on solutions that meet everyone’s needs. When you are both not so frustrated, you'll have time for the fun stuff of parenting - the laughs, the play, the cuddling.
Here’s something you may find hard to believe:
Your stress makes it harder for your kid to listen to you. You don’t have to find a magic pill to fix your kid. You don’t need behavioral approaches to correct your kid’s problems. In fact, those can create a deeper rift in the relationship. It's time for less ignoring and more connection.
A mindful approach to parenting really can work for neurodiverse families. It starts with you, though, not your kids. You're invited to show up fully for this beautiful struggle. Connect with other parents going through similar challenges. Learn new strategies to connect more deeply with your kids. We each have decades of experience working with (and being part of) families like yours. If you’re feeling anxious, guilty, hopeless, or defeated… you’re not alone! We really want to work with you and your family, exactly as you are.
