Guided Audio Relaxation for Kindness and Rest
We're parents of neurodivergent kids. Of course we struggle with sleep.
I've heard from a LOT of parents who are struggling to get good sleep right now.
I want to support you, so here's an audio relaxation I created for the Compassion Club Podcast that you can download and listen to so that you can be present with yourself with kindness...
...and 😴 rest.
I've been told my voice puts people to sleep, so, you're welcome.
In any life well lived, there are going to be moments of pleasure, and of discomfort. Can we be present with ourselves anyway?
Can we be present when parenting worries keep us up at night?
Non-harming, or ahimsa, is the first principle of yoga. This guided relaxation will help you down-regulate your nervous system, ground in your body, and find equanimity with both tension and ease. When we can be present with our whole selves with kindness, it will start to ripple out to influence those around us.
This relaxation practice is grounded in the body, then expands out to influence those around us with equanimity.
When your struggles feel overwhelming, I invite you to return to this body, in this moment. Return to the microcosm of your body’s discomfort, asking, “Can I be with this? Can I also be with moments of pleasure and ease?” Then you can return to the challenges in front of you with more grounded presence, and you’ll extend ahimsa, or non-harming, outward.
Download this 11 minute audio relaxation and listen to it when you're struggling to sleep. 😴
